Cannonsville Reservoir
Placed into service in 1964, Cannonsville Reservoir is located at the western edge of Delaware County, southwest of the Village of Walton. The 17-mile-long reservoir, formed by damming the West Branch of the Delaware River, holds 95.7 billion gallons, has an average depth of 61 feet and a surface area of 4,712 acres. The Cannonsville watershed’s drainage basin is 455 square miles, the largest basin in the City’s system.
You don’t have to own a boat to enjoy the Cannonsville Reservoir. Many area businesses will rent you a boat and arrange for your Access Permit. Listed below is a sampling of local outfitters. Call ahead for hours of operation.
